After becoming a mum to our two beautiful boys, I’ve been very aware of the toxic chemicals that many candles can give off into the air that you breathe. I found it really difficult to find good quality candles that I was confident in burning at home, so I did lots of research and started making my own. I thought it would be pretty easy, I mean how hard could it be? But believe me when I say it’s much harder than you think to create a perfect candle, it’s like a science and I’ve learnt a lot to say the least. 

So, The R&G Candle Co. was born as I was on maternity leave after having our second baby. Due to their inspiration, I named my little business after Rafe and George - it’s all because of them after all.

In the future I have plans to add more products like wax melts and diffusers to our scent collections along with more candle fragrances. Eventually I would love to offer larger candle sizes, candle refills and limited edition seasonal fragrances around Christmas time. You’ve got to have a dream right?
